2009 Chile Festival Raises Funds for Habitat for Humanity

The 12th Annual Chile Festival fund raiser to benefit Habitat for Humanity is coming August 29, 2009 to Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church (Montaño Rd. near Rio Grande Blvd.). This popular community gathering offers visitors great entertainment, wonderful arts and crafts, hot chile, delicious food, and an exciting silent auction. General Admission is FREE.

Funds raised and donated by the Chile Festival have contributed to the construction of 11 homes. Come, have fun and help to raise money for another Habitat for Humanity home.

Bake Sale Offers Sweet Treats

Eat Well at the Chile FestivalEnjoy the fruits of our gardens and kitchens and help build a home!

Cookies, cakes, pies, jams, jellies, breads, bars, personal specialties and favorites will be available for purchase in convenient packages of 3's, 6's and 12's at the Chile Festival. In response to the great demand we will feature many low-carb treats. 

Shepherd of the Valley has a well deserved reputation for great cooks, and we are happy to use our talents to serve.

 
Crafter Information

Skilled Crafters and Local Vendors Invited to Participate in Craft Fair

The annual Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church Chile Festival is an exciting event to raise money for Habitat for Humanity.  Now in our tenth year, the Chile Festival has grown dramatically in popularity and is a highly anticipated community event that draws visitors from some of Albuquerque’s most affluent and culturally diverse areas. As a skilled crafter, this is your invitation to join in the event by renting an 8’ x 9’ craft booth space.

Enjoy our Popular Craft ShowYour participation in the Chile Festival Craft Fair is an opportunity to display your crafts and receive tremendous, positive exposure at this community-building event.  Registration is on a first-come basis.  Jewelry will be limited to ten booths.  Other crafts will be limited to no more than 5 booths per type.
The benefits of our Chile Festival Craft Fair include:
  • Large tent with high visibility at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church at 1801 Montano Rd.
  • Special food line for crafters and vendors only for faster service.
  • Ongoing and aggressive publicity campaign including banners, news releases and additional media targeted to homes in the surrounding Los Ranchos, Rio Grande Blvd. and Taylor Ranch areas. 
  • Post cards will be provided to each crafter for their own use advertising their participation in this craft fair.
  • Popular live music, children’s activities and great food to create a festive, fun, and profitable environment.
